Ranking the 2009 US Open Opening Round Pairings

You're gonna be in attendance for the entire 1st and 2nd round at Bethpage. So you obviously need to know who to follow.

The Top Ten Groups You Want to Watch

1. 8:06 a.m. Padraig Harrington, Angel Cabrera, Tiger Woods - Oh Tiger Woods is in the most intersting pairing, way to go out on a limb there.

2. 1:25 p.m. Sergio Garcia, Camilo Villegas, Adam Scott - You have three players who are amongst the best in the world without a major, yet all three could easily be trainwrecks and out before the weekend. If I was at the tournament this is likely the group I'd follow.

3. 1:36 p.m. Retief Goosen, Ernie Els, Phil Mickelson - You know you want to watch Phil.

4. 7:55 a.m. Geoff Ogilvy, Jim Furyk, Paul Casey - Any of these three golfers could hold up the trophy on Sunday.

5. 7:55 a.m. Ian Poulter, Justin Leonard, Robert Allenby - Come on, you know I'm basically just interested in Poulter's outfits.

6. 1:36 p.m. Rocco Mediate, Kenny Perry, Tom Lehman - It's the Old Men group. What are the Vegas Odds that they all miss the cut? Rocco and Kenny haven't missed the cut yet this year, so good right? I'd throw down 2 bucks.

7. 7:44 a.m. Henrik Stenson, Andrew Svoboda, Steve Stricker - Henrik is one of those under the radar studs and Mr. Stricker finished 3rd at Bethpage in 2002.

8. 1:03 p.m. David Duval, David Toms, Darren Clarke, Northern Ireland - It's always entertaining to see whether David Duval is a trainwreck or not.

9. 1:14 p.m. Anthony Kim, Rory McIlroy, Dustin Johnson - The Young upcoming American vs. the young upcoming Brit + Dustin Johnson. It'll be interesting how these two interact with each other come their opening 2 rounds.

10. 1:58 p.m. Mike Weir, Stephen Ames, Stewart Cink - Oh Canada, that's all I know.

The Next 10 Intriguing Pairings

11. 7:33 a.m. Rory Sabbatini, Martin Kaymer, Ryuji Imada - If Only because I desire Rory to miss the cut, even if he is wearing .

12. 8:06 a.m. Luke Donald, Clinton Jensen, Tim Clark - Luke Donald is again going to be top 3 in a major sometime soon.

13. 1:47 p.m. Justin Rose, Sean O'Hair, Ross Fisher - O'Hair finished top 10 at the Masters, I have an inkling his name will be somewhere noticeable on the leaderboard on Sunday.

14. 1:47 p.m. Stuart Appleby, Fred Funk, Todd Hamilton - We want the Funk, gotta have that Funk.

15. 7:44 a.m. Vijay Singh, Jeev Milkha Singh, K.J. Choi - TEAM ASIA

16. 8:28 a.m. Lee Westwood, Zach Johnson, David Erdy - Lee Westwood always seems like a better Ryder Cup player than an actual tournament player. Maybe he makes a name for himself.

17. 8:28 a.m. Michael Campbell, Boo Weekley, Rod Pampling - It's always fun to cheer for the beer swigging big hick Boo Weekley.

18. 8:17 a.m. Andres Romero, Eduardo Romero, Miguel Angel Jimenez - Its the "We all Speak Spanish group."

19. 7:33 a.m. Ben Curtis, Graeme McDowell, Chad Campbell - Three solid golfers. Whoopy.

20. 18. 1:58 p.m. Hunter Mahan, Oliver Wilson, Brandt Snedeker - Another threesome of decent golfers. Not much to see here.

Lou Holtz is the Homer / Annoyingly Delusional

As my buddy Joe and I always joke, if Notre Dame was suiting up against an all Jesus team, aka a team made up of 55 Sons of God, Lou Holtz would probably still pick Notre Dame to win by a touchdown. So of course this weekend when I'm watching Sportscenter and they have him and fellow old man Corso making predictions, Lou picks ND to beat Michigan. Not that big of a deal, Michigan is a big question mark this year, but of course than Lou says that Notre Dame will win 11 games this year. This is the same Notre Dame that lost to a service academy last year. And just when you thought the douchy homerism was going to end ESPN asks which BCS school is going to be the biggest surprise team in the country. Any guesses to whom it was? I'll give you a clue it was another team he coached. If you guessed South Carolina you would be a winner. Next up on Lou's prediction watch, the Jets win the Superbowl, NC St. wins the ACC, Arkansas dominates the SEC West, Minnesota wins the Big...

Ranking the New York Jets Historical Helmets

There's no way you can't go with the Helmet they won the Super Bowl in. You just can't. Next, I really don't understand why they don't where the helmet with the Jet as their throwback uniforms. That helmet is awesome. Then I'm going with the Helmets from the 80s because it's the classic feel and the white face mask is 10 times better than the black one. And the rankings continue until you get to... The Titans Helmet. I hate everything about those Titan uniforms. The Helmets are boring and the colors are GOD awful. Navy blue and Mustard? What the hell is that. Disgusting. If they wore those unis when I was a kid I'd probably be a Giant fan, and be much happier with my life in football.
