Is Erik Bedard Being Held Hostage Somewhere?

Pitchers and catchers is less than 1 month away and as free agent after free agent gets signed to a deal, I'm beginning to wonder:

"Where is Erik Bedard? I haven't heard a single thing about him this offseason. I don't even have a clue who is actually interested in signing him. I know he had season ending surgery but I can't find any details about when he may be ready to pitch? How is this guy so under the radar? When he pitches nobody can hit him, yet I hear more rumors about Jon Garland and Joel Pineiro?"


Those are Erik Bedard's career stats. He's 30 years old and has gotten injured in each of the past 3 seasons. He's a tremendous risk/reward free agent. At the start of last years season he made his first 11 starts pitching to the tune of a 2.47 ERA with over 1 K per inning and an incredibly low BAA. And yet this offseason he's been invisible. How are the Mets not in on this party? I don't care if he can't come back til June, eleven starts of Bedard is better than 11 starts of any pitcher on your roster except for Johan.

I'm baffled. Where the hell are Erik Bedard and his agent this offseason?

Ranking the New York Jets Historical Helmets

There's no way you can't go with the Helmet they won the Super Bowl in. You just can't. Next, I really don't understand why they don't where the helmet with the Jet as their throwback uniforms. That helmet is awesome. Then I'm going with the Helmets from the 80s because it's the classic feel and the white face mask is 10 times better than the black one. And the rankings continue until you get to... The Titans Helmet. I hate everything about those Titan uniforms. The Helmets are boring and the colors are GOD awful. Navy blue and Mustard? What the hell is that. Disgusting. If they wore those unis when I was a kid I'd probably be a Giant fan, and be much happier with my life in football.
