Random Stat Hunter: Albert Pujols vs.

Random Stat Hunter is a new series where I get bored and start searching for random stats. Today, I decided to search Albert Pujols and his career at bats against MLB Pitchers

~Not surprisingly nobody has faced Pujols more in his career than Roy Oswalt. Oswalt has faced Pujols in 86 different times and Pujols has hit him at a .313 clip with 5 home runs and an OPS of .935.

~Jeff Suppan of all people is the only pitcher to have faced Pujols 35 times or more (19 total) and not have allowed a home run.

~Wade Davis leads the way as the only man so far to have given up 6 home runs to Pujols.

~Pujols loves the Big Unit with 5 home runs, 13 RBI and an OPS of 1.708 in 26 at bats.

~And he really really loves Odalis Perez as he's hit him at a .609 average, 2.110 OPS with 5 HR and 15 RBI in 33 career at bats.

~Former Closer Todd Jones would prefer Albert Pujols to not be in his dreams as the sluggers is 6 for 7 lifetime against Jones with 3 home runs and 3 more walks.

~Nate Robertson has faced Pujols the most without recording an out. In the 7 at bats against Pujols Robertson gave up 4 singles and 3 walks.

~Of all MLB Pitchers throughout Albert Pujols career the pitcher with the most success against the man, myth and legend is Ryan Madson. In 12 career at bats against Ryan Madson, Pujols has gone 0-10 with 2 walks.

~Jose Valverde is a close second to Madson as he has faced Pujols 13 times and Pujols is a career 0-10 with 3 walks.

~The starting pitcher to have the most success against Pujols is Wandy Rodriguez. Wandy has faced Pujols 34 times and has limited him to a .143 average and an OPS of just .473.

Lou Holtz is the Homer / Annoyingly Delusional

As my buddy Joe and I always joke, if Notre Dame was suiting up against an all Jesus team, aka a team made up of 55 Sons of God, Lou Holtz would probably still pick Notre Dame to win by a touchdown. So of course this weekend when I'm watching Sportscenter and they have him and fellow old man Corso making predictions, Lou picks ND to beat Michigan. Not that big of a deal, Michigan is a big question mark this year, but of course than Lou says that Notre Dame will win 11 games this year. This is the same Notre Dame that lost to a service academy last year. And just when you thought the douchy homerism was going to end ESPN asks which BCS school is going to be the biggest surprise team in the country. Any guesses to whom it was? I'll give you a clue it was another team he coached. If you guessed South Carolina you would be a winner. Next up on Lou's prediction watch, the Jets win the Superbowl, NC St. wins the ACC, Arkansas dominates the SEC West, Minnesota wins the Big...

Ranking the New York Jets Historical Helmets

There's no way you can't go with the Helmet they won the Super Bowl in. You just can't. Next, I really don't understand why they don't where the helmet with the Jet as their throwback uniforms. That helmet is awesome. Then I'm going with the Helmets from the 80s because it's the classic feel and the white face mask is 10 times better than the black one. And the rankings continue until you get to... The Titans Helmet. I hate everything about those Titan uniforms. The Helmets are boring and the colors are GOD awful. Navy blue and Mustard? What the hell is that. Disgusting. If they wore those unis when I was a kid I'd probably be a Giant fan, and be much happier with my life in football.
