The Big 5 College Football Games of Week 6

And finally we are getting into the heart of the conference schedules. There will be big games every week and this week we get the first big challenge for the Gators and 4 more classic conference games.

5. Wisconsin Badgers at Ohio State Buckeyes
The Badgers play a cupcake filled out of conference schedule every year so their 5-0 record is a bit bloated but they did handle Minnesota last weekend in their rivalry game. Meanwhile, OSU hasn't really been challenged since their close loss to USC. OSU is still the class of the big 10 and should win this game with relative ease. The Pick: Buckeyes by 10

4. Boston College Eagles at Virginia Tech Hokies
The Eagles have been the bane of the Hokies regular season ACC existence. They have been the one team to consistently knock off the Hokies, and then of course lose to them in the ACC Championship game. I feel as if part of the Hokies struggles were looking past Duke and towards BC and that this weekend they will come out fired up and will take care of business. The Pick: Hokies by 7

3. Nebraska Cornhuskers at Missouri Tigers
This seems like it will be the showdown to determine whom will gain the right to get pummeled by Texas/Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game (Kansas might have a say). We're leaning Nebraska basically because they were a minute away from winning a game in Blacksburg which is a nice feat. The Pick: Nebraska by 6.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide at Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss was touted as being a top 5 team this season. Through 5 weeks they haven't shown that promise but with Alabama coming to town this is their opportunity. The problem is that their O-Line was dominated by USC in their loss in Spurrier-ville. Alabama's line is even better and will dominate this game. The Pick: Tide by 13

1. Flordia Gators at Louisiana State Tigers
Well this game is just about impossible to predict because you have no idea whether or not Tebow is going to play. The decision to start Tebow will apparently come on Saturday. I think he likely will play and I think because of it the Gators will likely sneak by. The Pick: Florida by 3.

Lou Holtz is the Homer / Annoyingly Delusional

As my buddy Joe and I always joke, if Notre Dame was suiting up against an all Jesus team, aka a team made up of 55 Sons of God, Lou Holtz would probably still pick Notre Dame to win by a touchdown. So of course this weekend when I'm watching Sportscenter and they have him and fellow old man Corso making predictions, Lou picks ND to beat Michigan. Not that big of a deal, Michigan is a big question mark this year, but of course than Lou says that Notre Dame will win 11 games this year. This is the same Notre Dame that lost to a service academy last year. And just when you thought the douchy homerism was going to end ESPN asks which BCS school is going to be the biggest surprise team in the country. Any guesses to whom it was? I'll give you a clue it was another team he coached. If you guessed South Carolina you would be a winner. Next up on Lou's prediction watch, the Jets win the Superbowl, NC St. wins the ACC, Arkansas dominates the SEC West, Minnesota wins the Big...

Ranking the New York Jets Historical Helmets

There's no way you can't go with the Helmet they won the Super Bowl in. You just can't. Next, I really don't understand why they don't where the helmet with the Jet as their throwback uniforms. That helmet is awesome. Then I'm going with the Helmets from the 80s because it's the classic feel and the white face mask is 10 times better than the black one. And the rankings continue until you get to... The Titans Helmet. I hate everything about those Titan uniforms. The Helmets are boring and the colors are GOD awful. Navy blue and Mustard? What the hell is that. Disgusting. If they wore those unis when I was a kid I'd probably be a Giant fan, and be much happier with my life in football.
