The Baltimore Ravens last won playoffs games with Trent Dilfer at the helm. The won via defense and running the football. In two games this year the Ravens with Joe Flacco at the helm they've won by... defense and running the football. Just how similar are the stats for the first two playoff games for Dilfer and Flacco? Pretty damn close. Just take a look.
Flacco has thrown slightly more passes 45 in comparison to only 30 for Dilfer, but both QBs had a completion percentage below 50%. Both QBs had no turnovers and both never even sniffed 200 yards. The difference in 2009 is that the Ravens defense isn't quite as dominant and unlike Dilfer in 2001, Flacco will be forced to make big plays in the AFC Championship Game and potentially the Superbowl.
