Wow that was a fun weekend of college football if only Succop could have made a single kick and it would have been even more of a historic upset saturday. With all the losses around the country there come massive movement in the Power Rankings. Once again the 11th team is the hardest to choose.
1. Michigan Wolverines - With the loss of Texas to Kansas St. the Wolverines jump the Buckeyes in the power rankings having beaten two one loss teams in Wisconsin and ND. Really whoever you think deserves to be #1 this week it doesn't matter as they will be fully established come 7:30 on saturday evening. One thing that bodes well for Michigan, Steve Breaston finally was integrated into the offense this weekend and its imperative the Wolverines utilize every single weapon if they are to win in the Horseshoe.Quality Wins: Wisconsin, @ND, @Penn St., Iowa
2. Ohio State Buckeyes - The Buckeyes temporarily move down to the 2 spot with Texas' loss to K St. However, the Buckeyes rolled Northwestern to get back into the flow of things and will welcome the Wolverines with open arms. Once again Troy Smith will be the key to the big game and with a win on saturday Troy will sew up both a trip to Arizona and a little thing called the Heisman Trophy. 3. Florida Gators - Boourns Mr. Succop boourns. I am not a fan of yours and I think Mr. Spurrier is highly disappointed in you as well. Steve doesn't lose in the Swamp, and you cost him the victory Mr. Succop. And now the Gators survive and get to Western Carolina to rebuild some confidence. Then they head to Tallahassee to take on the much maligned Seminoles who will be fighting for their bowl eligibilty. 4. Southern Cal Trojans - Only thing keeping the Trojans from the #3 spot is the fact they lost to a below average Oregon St. squad. However, if they run the table and defeat both Cal and ND in the coming weeks they will jump the Gators and the loser of Michigan Ohio St. and in my opinion be the deserving title opponent to the winner of the Big Clash at the Horseshoe. This could fully satisfy my title game prediction as I had a battle between OSU and USC chosen week 1. Quality Wins: Nebraska, @Arkansas, @Wash St., Oregon Bad Loss: Oregon St.

Arkansas Razorbacks: The Razorbacks are certainly still in the hunt for the NCAA Title and its unfortunate that they took such a beatdown at the hand of USC in the season opener, else they are playing some of the best ball in the country. They completely dominated the Vols at home and in the upcoming weeks could rack up quality victories over LSU and Florida. While it will be impossible for the Razorbacks to jump in front of USC and may be difficult for them to stay ahead of ND if ND dropkicks USC in LA, the Razorbacks have a chance and thats all you can ask for. 6. Rutgers Scarlet Knights - Yippy the Scarlet Knights are one of the top teams in the country. All the Big East bashers can shut their trap, wow the SEC is so good that Auburn can get thumped by Georgia at home when they just lost to Kentucky and Vandy. Well my opinion is that the Scarlet Knights if they can run the table which would include a huge win in Morgantown arguably the most difficult game on any remaining schedule, should have a legitimate argument to play in the title game. Why not? WVU and Louisville would have gotten the opportunity why not Rutgers? Ray Rice is for real, he's a bull. WVU was top 5 preseason how could winning in Morgantown and running the table not put Rutgers in the hunt? Quality Wins: @Pitt, @South Florida, Louisville
7. Notre Dame Fighting Irish- The Fighting Irish are looming and of course gettting the benefit of mauling the military academies and being the showboat pretty boys. Notred Dame is sitting with one loss almost miraculously with some of their close calls and in two weeks will have the opportunity to play in LA, a win their will help the Irish jump over several programs, will they jump loser OSU Michigan? Only time will tell. However, when you look at their resume right now, it is not overly impressive. Quality Wins: Penn St., @GaTech Bad Loss: Michigan

Wisconsin Badgers - The Badgers finally crack the top 11, mostly through the losses of others but when you look at their resume and compare it to that of the fighting Irish it is not very different. Unfortunately for the Cardinals they ended up on the wrong side of the game and quite frankly have little to no opportunity to land in the BCS, as even if Rutgers loses to WVU, it will most likely be the Mountaineers and not the Scarlett Knights or the Cardinals to advance for the cash money. Wake Forest Demon Decons - Ok I know FSU is going through a big time down season but when you head into Tallahassee dominate every aspect of the game and come out giving the Seminoles a 30-0 beatdown that tells me that you are in fact a legit team. Now with the weeks the come Wake Forest could win 3 consecutive games heading into the BCS against ranked teams (VT, Maryland, GT) giving them an very outside chance at playing in the title game, who would have thunk that. 11. Texas Longhorns - Hooray Hoorah the Longhorns are out of the title hunt but not out of the Power Rankings. Why? Because they didn't get thumped saturday like Georgia and they lost their QB during the game to complicate things. Plus, Oklahoma and Nebraska keep on winning and making those Ws look solid.
