CHasing Lines: Blindly Picking the Belmont Winners

Best online sports betting bonuses and promotions at Sportsbetting.com. Join now the most secure online sportsbook ! if you're betting on just the favorite so I'm going to be 1000% honest with this post. I have ZERO idea about anything surrounding this years Belmont stakes. I only recognize one horse now that both the Preakness and Kentucky Derby winners have pulled out of the race. That horse is Ice Box, the horse that arrived like a bullet at the Kentucky Derby to finish second. He is the odds on favorite and I fully expect him to take home the Belmont title. But you can't reallly take home too much cash just betting on the favorite so we need to package this up with the next two finishes. To decide the next two finishers we combine a scientific formula which includes two criteria, name and outfit. With no outfits truly sticking out to me this Belmont Stakes I think I will simply go with the dudes, First Dude and Game On Dude. They both have decent odds and the Dude ...

You Lucky S.O.B.

Darren Rovell of CNBC caught up with one of the lucky S.O.B.s that dropped a $1 on the Superfecta over the weekend and took home $278,503. His reasoning? He likes the Jockey... In all honesty I checked out the Kentucky Derby page on Friday afternoon and said "I like the jockey uniform with the hat. I've never seen that before. If I was going to bet I'd probably throw down on the hat." So I guess liking the jockey is slightly less lucky than what I would have been if I decided to throw 20$ bucks on Mine That Bird because of a stupid uniform design. I of course did not gamble 20$ and did not win 1000 dollars. Screw me.

It's Daytona 500 Weekend... Yay

So who's gonna spend 4 hours watching cars drive around in circles this weekend in chase for a race that almost has zero impact on who wins the actually championship? Certainly not me. But I will predict the winner. The winner will be... 4 HOUR ERECTIONS

Brickyard Crossing (Something to Do in Life)

Somehow I'm 25 years old am an avid sports fan, have watched the Indy 500 for what surely amounts to at least 1 complete race and yet I never learned of the ridiculousness of the Brickyard Crossing until this past weekend. There are tons of unique golf courses in this world, and yet surely a golf course which includes 4 holes within the infield of arguably the most storied race track in America is in its own odd class. Hopefully, if I ever end up near Indianapolis I will be able to play this very weird but notable course.

The Power of the 2nd Shirt

If you live in the Northeast than you know it was hot as hell the entire weekend and continuing into today. So if you went to the Belmont you probably knew you were going to sweat through a shirt, especially if you are fat like Big Brown Trainer Rick Dutrow. So you have to plan in advance, like wearing a shirt that doesn't show sweat as well or better yet bringing a 2nd shirt to change into prior to race time. Hell you know you're going to be on camera. Why do you want to look like you just jumped into Long Island Sound. Note: The Power of the 2nd shirt is also essential for those that can't control their sweat glands during pick up bball games.

Weekend Review Quick Notes

~NBA Finals ~Did I not say that the Celtics bench was significantly better than the Lakers bench ? Leon Powe is actually good unlike many of the players on the Lakers bench. He is athletic, big and strong. He's not a superstar but he's good enough to contribute and because he played the most important game of his career the Celtics are up 2-0. ~At the start of the 4th quarter I figured the Celtics would just need to get to around 100 as they shouldn't really give up 40+ points in the overtime so I thought 17 points in the fourth quarter would be the magic number. But I guess they just really didn't want to play defense the final 12 minutes. They're lucky they make their free throws, unlike Memphis, or they would have been victims to the worst NBA game collapse ever. ~I hope we don't hear anything more about Paul Pierce's "I needed to get carried off the court cause I thought I blew out my knee but I was obviously completely wrong, I was actually pre...

It Is No Longer More Efficient Not to Have Legs

If the world determined social class strictly on common sense than the International Association of Athletics Federations(IAAF) has taken a leap from the homeless to a lower income household in the past few days. See at one point in time they decided that somehow someway it was a benefit for a runner to be without legs. They deemed that the U shaped Carbon Fiber blades worn by amputee runners were more efficient than actual legs and thus they ruled any amputee wanting to compete against full bodied individuals with these legs as ineligible. Apparently, they wanted them to run with a wooden peg, or stitch on an actual human leg in order to compete. Well, the IAAF based on the case of Oscar Pistorius, a double amputee runner from South Africa decided to take a new vote on whether or not they should allow him to qualify and compete in the Beijing Olympics. And shockingly enough the people on this committee showed some common sense and will allow a man who has obvious gone through a l...

Guess the Airport

Can you guess which Airport I am currently bored out of my mind sitting in, by these two pictures?

Jesus Saves Jeff Gordon?

Personally I'm not much of a vanity license plate or bumper sticker guy. I feel as if in most scenarios it opens you up to ridicule. You pay money for people to make fun of you, genius. For instance today was so classic I needed to pull out my phone and take a picture. I am driving into work and pull behind a white station wagon. I had seen this station wagon before, really how can you miss a license plate that says "SAVES" with a a big Jesus bumper sticker on the bumper. But today I noticed something extra. A beautiful #24 Jeff Gordon Sticker in the window. Thus the three words "JESUS SAVES JEFF GORDON" or "JEFF GORDON SAVES JESUS" if you prefer immortalizing a NASCAR driver as the hero of Christianity. This car should be shown to anyone that ever buys and applies a bumper sticker on their car.

Barbaro Be Dead But Not Yet Buried

One year ago today Barbaro died and apparently it took one full year for them to decide to bury him . Apparently my birthday just sparks Barbaro news.

Tour De Bicycle Smash

Just skip to 1:16 remaining in the video so you can see one bike swerve knock out a dudes front tire forcing him to hit the pavement which corresponds to about 20 other cyclists toppling over as well. I'm pretty sure I'd rather watch NASCAR than watch a stage of the Tour de France which means it equates about as highly as Cricket on my levels of sports hatred.

Pepsi and NASCAR: A Catfight

If I'm talking about NASCAR you know either a major crash happened, something stupid happenned or I found something humurous. Well it was the latter two. This here is Jamie McMurray enjoying a cool refreshing Coca Cola after his win this weekend. So what's the big deal? Well he won the Pepsi 400 meaning that after spending countless dollars on sponsoring a NASCAR race for many year, Pepsi managed to get spit in the face by the winner of their race. Quality. This is how I'd have to imagine the conversation between Pepsi and NASCAR going. Pepsi: Hi NASCAR NASCAR: Pepsi how ya been? Pepsi: Been better... NASCAR: What yall mean, we just had here the closest dog gone race in the history of NASCAR. Pepsi: Ya that's f'n super, that Jamie McMurray guy seems like quite the character. NASCAR: Yup he sure is, what seems to be crawlin up your behind? Pepsi: Are you god damn serious? Are you that f'n hick and stupid? Did you not see that assclown drinking f'...
