NFL Week 5 Pick Suggestions

5. Philadelphia Eagles (-2 1/2) vs. Dallas Cowboys

I've learned towards the Cowboys for the whole season as a better team than the Eagles until basically this morning. Here's the thing, McNabb is simply a better player than TO right now, and while TO will most likely have a good game I just see McNabb as incredibly motivated perhaps more motivated than he ever has been, and this will be one time he performs under the pressure. Westbrook will play this week and have a big week and 2 1/2 is nothing to give up. Ride Donovan take the points and enjoy.

4. New York Giants (-4 1/2) vs. Washington Redskins

Here's one thing about Eli through his career that has always stacked up, he plays better in the Meadowlands than on the road. Much better. Last year in Giants Stadium the Giants crushed the Redskins and I expect the Gmen to bounce back prove that they're still a contender and hush all the critics that have been putting them down. Take the Gmen give the points and enjoy a smooth ride.

3. Chicago Bears (-10 1/2) vs. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo has been a pleasant surpirse thus far this year, but their headed into Soldier field and they will not score double digits on the Bears, meaning the Bears will only need 20 points which I think they will get on the Bills. Ride the Rex train and enjoy.

2. New Orleans Saints (-6 1/2) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tampa is starting a rookie qb from Toledo that you I and nobody has ever watched play except for maybe Mahoney, but even that's questionable. Chris Simms wasn't good the first few weeks but there's no reason to not expect Bruce to be worse. And the Saints will still be pumped up at home. Give the points and enjoy.

1. St. Louis Rams (- 2 1/2) at Green Bay Packers

Alright Brett Favre is knicked up, Ahman Green is knicked up the Pack got torched in the second half defenslively last week, and had a short week to prepare for the Rams. Everything says take the Rams, give the 2 1/2 points which is nothing and enjoy.

Indianapolis (-18 1/2) vs. Tennessee ... That's a lot of points, but Ten blows
Detroit (+6 1/2) at Minnesota ... Minnesota can't score, their O is terrible
Carolina (-8 1/2) vs. Cleveland ... Cleveland out both CBs = 150 yds for Smith
New England (-9 1/2) vs. Miami ... 0-4 on going with Miami, reverse the curse
Oakland (+3 1/2) at San Fran ... Not much of a road game, maybe Randy shows up
Kansas City (-3 1/2) at Arizona ... Like Leinart, just not week 1
New York Jets(+7 1/2) at Jacksonville ... Jet Homer, still getting lots o points
San Diego (-3 1/2) vs. Pittsburgh ... Big Ben won't turn it around yet
Denver (-4 1/2) vs. Baltimore ... Time for the Ravens to lose

Numbers On Steroids: Bret Boone

Numbers on Steroids is a look at baseball players during the 90s to see if anything screams out at you. Mr. Boone was once the best power hitting second baseman in the league. How questionable was his success? Averages Say: Why the extra plateu in his mid 30s? At Bats Per Home Run Says: Lowest at Bats Per Home Runs at 37? Hmm.... Explaining It Away Yeak, this one is tough. Umm, late bloomer? He showed potential power early in his career and he just liked playing in Seattle a lot more than everywhere else? And umm, his career was kind of like a running backs in that it just all of a sudden fell off the map? Any of these convincing you? The Verdict Guy never hits more than 24 home runs in a season and then in his age 32 season he hits 37? And in SafeCo a pitchers park to boot? And he follows that up with 24, 35, 24 homer years still at SafeCo? And then he completely falls off the map in 2005 never to be heard from again? We've got a Screamer... Man Get Big Muscles In 30s. Hm...
