Willy Taveras is one fast athlete. When he gets on base you pretty much know he's going to steal but sometimes the time isn't right for a pitch out, so he'll get his steals. But eventually one would figure that the opposition would have to adjust and try to take away the stolen base eventually by pitching out, or throwing 4700 pick off attempts. Maybe the White Sox should have pitched out once or twice when Taveras was on base on saturday, why? Because he stole 5 F'n bases in a single game.
He stole 2nd of pitcher John Danks once. He stole 3rd of pitcher John Danks twice. He stole 2nd and 3rd off pitcher Octavio Dotel. 5 steals in the span 7 innings. All with loud mouth AJ Pierzynski behind the dish. That's a big fail. Too bad Taveras didn't take off after he got an rbi single with 2 outs in the top of the 9th.
Oh ya, the White Sox lost the game.
